According to CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg, the Today’s Topics feature on Threads will soon be available in additional nations.

After the app’s launch last year, users have been clamoring for a feature, and Threads is now testing it. The site is testing a new feature called “Today’s Topics,” which will display the topics with the most activity, according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The feature will function in real-time and is built on an artificial intelligence (AI) framework. At the moment, only a limited number of users in the US can access it. The subjects of today seem to be comparable to those on X’s Trending tab (previously known as Twitter).

After the feature was fine-tuned, Zuckerberg said in a Threads post that it will be released in other nations and languages. Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, also published a post in which he explained the format of today’s themes. “Today’s Threads topics will appear on the search page and in the For You feed,” he stated. Our AI systems choose the subjects based on what users are currently talking about on Threads. Additionally, Mosseri provided screenshots of how it will look on the app.

The new search page has a visual style that is reminiscent of X’s Trending page. There are some distinctions, though. There is no need to incorporate a hashtag or tag while discussing popular topics on Threads. The subjects appear to be plain text with a headline and a post that seems to be at the top covering the subject. According to Mosseri, AI selects both the headline and the subjects. Users won’t have to deal with perplexing hashtags that occasionally hide the true topic as a result.

Additionally, it can be found on the For You page. Here, it appears in a distinct section with a carousel structure in between posts. It seems like an extension of the Instagram app’s Threads posts area. The screenshots that Mosseri posted show the header and the top post as tiny rectangular boxes.

Recently, Threads started testing an additional feature that let users save postings as bookmarks. The functionality of the feature is comparable to that of X and Instagram. To add something to the Saved area, simply hit the Save button. This section may be accessed by tapping the profile’s “Settings” icon, which has two horizontal lines.
