The Sony Xperia 1 VI is probably going to be unveiled on February 26 at an event hosted by Sony at MWC 2024.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI might release in the near future. The phone is anticipated to replace the May 2023-released Sony Xperia 1 V. The Xperia 1 V is equipped with a triple rear camera unit that consists of a 52-megapixel primary sensor and two 12-megapixel secondary sensors. It also has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. While Sony has not yet released any information regarding a successor, information regarding the Sony Xperia 1 VI has appeared online.
A leaked promotional image was shared by X user Insider Sony (@INSIDERSONY), indicating that the Sony Xperia 1 VI might be revealed on February 26 at a Sony event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. Details regarding the alleged phone’s rear cameras were provided by the same user in a later post thread.
Like the phone of today, the Sony Xperia 1 VI is probably going to have three cameras on its back. It is anticipated that the camera units’ specifications will differ, though. A 48-megapixel 1/1.4-inch Exmor T sensor with f/1.4 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, 48mm focal length, full-pixel dual-PD autofocus, and 2x optical zoom may be included in the Sony Xperia 1 VI, according to the leak.
The other two units are also expected to be 48-megapixel Exmor T sensors; however, one is reported to be a 1/2.7-inch sensor equipped with a 14mm–18mm ultra-wide-angle lens and Sony 2×2 On-Chip Lens (OCL) technology, while the other is a telephoto shooter with a similar resolution and a 70mm–135mm focal length that can be digitally expanded to 270mm and may provide up to 6x sensor cropping and 3x optical zoom.
The 52-megapixel 1/1.3.5-inch primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, the 12-megapixel 1/2-inch sensor with an f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens, and the additional 12-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3.5–5x optical zoom and 15.6x hybrid zoom are the standout features of the Sony Xperia 1 V. For $1,399 (approximately Rs. 1,14,700), the device’s single 12GB + 256GB option was available.
