The test compares the durability of devices to help you choose between two more powerful devices.
In the video, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is seen surviving most of the drop tests without cracking.
The video begins with a background test that involves dropping the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra onto a concrete surface behind it.
The first one has some scratches and cracks on the back glass after the first batch, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a few cracks in the corners.
It is important to note that Apple has provided a grade 5 titanium construction for the latest iPhone 15 Pro Max with Ceramic Shield protection.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to prevent drops.
In the second corner drop test, the sharp edges of the Galaxy S23 Ultra clearly broke, while the rounded corners of the iPhone 15 Pro Max protected the device from further damage, but the first drop test The device broke and the rear window began to collapse.
In the third round, known as the face drop test, the screens of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max cracked.
Samsung’s flagship appears relatively less damaged with minor cracks.
However, both devices still work.
In the final round, they were placed on a steel plate to measure their impact resistance.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra looked more or less the same after the fourth drop, while the back glass of the iPhone 15 Pro Max continued to crack and crumble.
Although both phones suffered damage, the video concludes that the Galaxy S23 Ultra just edges out the iPhone 15 Pro Max as it appears to have survived the majority of it.
Samsung’s offering achieved a final score of 39 points compared to the iPhone’s 37 points.
