Intel Core Ultra Processors may be added to the Honor MagicBook Pro 16.
Later this year, the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 is expected to be released with upgraded hardware. The 16.1-inch Honor MagicBook Pro was first introduced in 2020 with a variety of CPU configurations. The laptop is anticipated to have improved specs, including more potent processors, with the 2024 refresh. The company has hinted that the updated Honor MagicBook Pro model will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in 2024. It is said that the more recent model has sophisticated AI-backed features.
Honor revealed on X (previously Twitter) that the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 will make a reappearance at the MWC 2024 event, which takes place on February 26 and 29. The updated model will include AI-powered features. “Hey SAM & MAC, With Magic, one step connects all,” the teaser reads, making fun of rival companies Samsung and Apple while asserting that the upcoming model is “smarter” than its competitors in the market. Additionally, it makes mention of the Magic-link feature, which is meant to link PCs, tablets, and smartphones and enable seamless file sharing, display mirroring, etc.
The Honor MagicBook Pro 16’s design and other important details were kept under wraps by the company, but the indications of AI-backed advanced features raise the possibility that it will ship with Intel Core Ultra CPUs. Intel unveiled the Core Ultra processors in December 2023, claiming that the integrated Neural Processing Units (NPUs) would enhance the onboard AI capabilities. Since then, numerous top brands—including Acer, Samsung, HP, Asus, and others—have updated a number of their models to include these more recent CPUs.
There are multiple CPU options for the Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 model: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, Intel Core i5-10210U, and Intel Core i7-10510U. 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage are included. With Windows 10 Home preinstalled, the laptop has a 16.1-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display.
With a 56Wh battery, the Honor MagicBook Pro is said to have a maximum battery life of 11.5 hours. It claims to be able to charge from empty to eighty percent in an hour and supports 65W fast charging. The 1.7kg laptop has three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, one HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
