Microsoft will discontinue security updates for Windows 8.1 on January 10, 2023, and customers will be encouraged to upgrade to Windows 11 for a safer experience.
Windows 8.1 was one of my favourite editions of the famous operating system, owing to its great blend of the older, distinctive Windows interface and the tiled UI Microsoft was aiming for at the time. After the debacle that was Windows 8, Windows 8.1 promised a steady experience.
