Geothermal energy technology and current status: an overview
Geothermal energy is the energy contained as heat in the Earth’s interior. This overview describes the internal structure of the Earth together with the heat transfer mechanisms inside mantle and crust. [1]
Direct utilization of geothermal energy 2010 worldwide review
This paper presents a review of the worldwide application of geothermal energy for direct utilization, and updates the previous survey carried out in 2005. [2]
World-wide direct uses of geothermal energy 2000
The worldwide application of geothermal energy for direct utilization is reviewed. This paper attempts to update the previous survey carried out in 1995 (Freeston, 1995) and presented at the World Geothermal Congress 1995 in Florence, Italy. [3]
Spatial Variation Modeling of Geothermal Gradient and Heat Flow in Eastern Parts of Niger Delta Sedimentary Basin, Nigeria
The aims of this research are to carry out statistical and geostatistical analysis of geothermal data and to determine the spatial variation of geothermal gradient and heat flow of parts of Niger delta sedimentary basin. [4]
Metagenomic Analysis of Microbial Communities in the Soil-mousse Surrounding of an Amazonian Geothermal Spring in Peru
Aim: Aguas Calientes (AC) is one of the very few geothermal springs located deep into the Amazon rainforest in Peru. The main aim of this study was to generate an illumina based high resolution microbial phylogenetic profile of the soil-mousse surrounding of an Amazonian geothermal spring like AC. [5]
