India’s version of the iQoo Z9 5G sports a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC-powered iQoo Z9 5G is scheduled to debut in India on March 12. The specs of the Chinese versions of the iQoo Z9 and iQoo Z9x have already been released by a Chinese tipster. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC is rumored to power the Chinese version of the iQoo Z9. On the other hand, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC is anticipated to power the iQoo Z9x. It is stated that both variants have a 6,000mAh battery.
On Weibo, Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) shared purported specs for the iQoo Z9 and Z9x 5G. The tipster claims that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and 6.8-inch 1.5K (1,260×2,800 pixels) 2D OLED display would be found inside the iQoo Z9. This suggests that the specifications of the Chinese and Indian versions of the smartphone will differ. It is already confirmed that the latter is powered by the nation’s MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC.
The tipster claims that an LCD display with full-HD+ resolution will be featured on the iQoo Z9x. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC is rumored to power it. It is anticipated that both iQoo Z series smartphones will have a 6,000mAh battery.
On March 12, the iQoo Z9 5G will go on sale in India. The look and some of the characteristics of the phone are being teased by a dedicated microsite on Amazon and the iQoo India website. Its two rear cameras are made up of an optical image stabilization-capable Sony IMX882 sensor.
The iQoo Z9 5G is expected to be the replacement for the iQoo Z7 5G from the previous year. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model of the latter was priced at Rs. 18,999 when it was first released. The iQoo Z7x, which was released in China in March of last year for CNY 1,299 (about Rs. 15,600) for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage edition, may give way to the iQoo Z8x.
